Mobile SystemIf you or someone you care for needs the freedom to go out – or indeed travel anywhere in Europe – and still wishes to have contact with our response centre, then the mobile system may be for you. The user keeps their existing mobile telephone. We supply a sticker for the back of the telephone with the user’s name and “in case of emergency” details and the response centre telephone number.
This means that any member of the public or emergency service attending to the user will be able to get all the relevant medical information, as well as details of the preferred ambulance and destination hospital, by dialling our response centre. In addition, if the model of the telephone allows, we encourage each user to programme their telephone with a “fast key”, making the response centre still available at the touch of a button.
This is generally used as a supplement to the Standard System but is also a very useful stand alone Traveller’s package for the active traveller. It does register a user with our 24 hour response centre and enables a user to call an operator anytime reassurance is required.
Please note, however, it does not come with a wrist button or fall detector and it is the user’s responsibility to keep the mobile telephone charged and, if necessary, topped up with credit at all times.
